You will
- Enable the sales teams by providing a timeous, accurate and opitmal sales forecast.
- Ensure forecasting and planning is done cost effectively.
- Contribute to the cost saving targets of the company.
- Conduct planning to ensure alignment with the forecasting by the vendors.
- Adjust forecast based on buy in by the supply chain coordination team and activate requirements accordingly
- Engage with vendors to manage short fall in certain categories/SKU's to ensure speedy recovery from short falls
- Conduct monthly meetings with KAM's to validate category as well as SKU forecast
- Fix and eliminate errors in forecast in conjunction with KAM's based on top line assumptions, building blocks, risks and opportunities
- Analyse SAP data to identify risks and opportunities in sales, and where possible to recover lost sales
- Compare relevant data
- Present historical vs acutal analysis in line with annual budget as well as promotional plan

We are on the lookout for a motivated, driven, and proven performer as an extension to our existing winning team, based in the North Christchurch, Nelson & Blenheim region.
Reporting to the Regional Field Sales Manager, you will be charged with enhancing Diplomat's business partnerships across the North Christchurch, Nelson & Blenheim region by working collaboratively internally & externally to form mutually beneficial relationships. You will have the opportunity to travel once a fortnight to the Nelson and Blenheim region.
You will be tasked with delivering outstanding customer experience, whilst having responsibility for managing your time efficiently, managing your territory budget and implementing in store activity in line with the Diplomat strategy.
Experience in FMCG within sales, key accounts, merchandising is desirable along with exceptional communication and customer service skills. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with the key decision makers throughout your territory and able to leverage these commercial relationships to achieve your territory targets. Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded, but not essential.
You will have a proven track record of success and thrive on achieving sales targets in conjunction with managing the long term success of key brands. Diplomat has an office in Christchurch with a supportive team environment working collaboratively one day week as an entire team.

You will focus on our strategic business planning with our Key Account Managers for promotions and maintenance of our Foodstuffs Account. You will be building customer relationships. Work closely with a number of our internal and external partners to provide account related reports and analysis, keeping our sales team up to date with their Key Account requirements.
Experience required:
- Previous FMCG sales experience or exposure would be an advantage
- Proven Customer Service experience
- Planning and organisational skills for sales reporting and promotional planning
- High level of attention to detail
- Computer literacy for vendor managed inventory on day to day orders
- Planograms utlizing vendor specific program
- Supply chain trouble shooting with our operations team
- Understanding of branding and target marketing for new product development
- General administration support for the Key Account Managers
- Facilitating customer related events
- Confident computer user with advanced Excel, training will be provided in SAP, Qlik and Aztec
