About the role

Diplomat New Zealand Limited, a Global distribution company in FMCG, is seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing key client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving strategic business initiatives to support the company's overall objectives. This full-time role is based in Takapuna, Auckland.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients

  • Accurately forecasting and managing client accounts, setting and achieving sales targets

  • Identifying new business opportunities and proactively presenting solutions to clients

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences

  • Providing regular updates and reporting on account performance and strategic initiatives

  • Participating in the development and implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an account management or key account management role, preferably within FMCG

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing key client relationships

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically

  • Proficient in using CRM systems and data analysis to drive decision-making

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Business, Marketing, or Sales

Commercial Sales Analyst

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Reporting & Analysis Specialist to join our dynamic team. This newly created role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate submission of reports, supporting operations with the analysis and reporting needed for various commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on-time and accurate submission of reports to internal customers.
  • Support operations with analysis and reporting for various commercial initiatives.
  • Optimize trade spend and improve gross profit (GP) results for the business.
  • Act as a New Vendor/Brand commercial transition expert, collaborating with Business Development & Sales teams.
  • Update Customer Promo Grids.
  • Review and optimize RPS from a sales & P&L perspective, including scenario planning and price elasticity analysis.
  • Review current customer commercial agreements (CPT) and provide key commercial insights and observations to the business.
  • Support Key Account Managers (KAMs) with new customer commercials (CPT).
  • Assist the Sales Team with the Sufficiency Process.
  • Review and improve sales mix across all products and customers.
  • Develop new and improve current sales reporting tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Analysing historical sales data and market trends to build accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts

  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align plans and ensure seamless product availability

  • Identifying opportunities to boost forecast accuracy and drive supply chain efficiency

  • Using advanced analytics and forecasting models to optimise inventory levels and minimise waste

  • Preparing regular reports and presenting strategic insights to senior leadership

  • Mentoring junior planners and contributing to continuous team development

What you'll bring

  • At least 4 years' experience in demand planning or forecasting (ideally in FMCG or retail)

  • Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for trends in data

  • Proficiency in demand planning tools and advanced Excel modelling

  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and bring clarity to complex data

  • A history of delivering successful planning initiatives that drive business outcomes

  • A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
