Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant

Location: Takapuna
Reporting to: Financial Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting business decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End & Balance Sheet Management

  • Prepare month-end journals, including accrals, prepayments, and provisions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a timely basis

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Support monthly and quarterly P&L reporting, including preparation of management reports
  • Perform variance analysis, investigating and explaining material movements

Inventory & Stock Accounting

  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including GR/IR, Goods in Transit, and MIRO reconciliations
  • Ensure inventory balances are accurate, complete, and well supported
  • Identify and escalate short supply and price variances in a timely manner

Fixed Assets

  • Maintain fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation, and disposals
  • Ensure the fixed asset register aligns with the general ledger

Tax & Compliance

  • Prepare and file tax returns, including GST, FBT, and NRWT
  • Support audits and tax reviews, liaising with external advisors where required

Treasury & Operational Support

  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow planning
  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions

Business Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the Financial Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects
  • Contribute to process improvements and strengthening internal controls

About You

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CA / CPA qualified or working towards qualification
  • Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and with external stakeholders

  • Internal: Finance team (local and group), Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, M&A teams
  • External: Auditors, Tax Advisors, Vendors, Customers, Banks

Key Account Executive

Key Account Executive
Support our Key Account team and help deliver outstanding service to our customers

We’re looking for a capable and motivated Key Account Executive to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives on solving problems, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our Key Account team to drive sales within the Foodstuffs (FS) channel, while ensuring our customers receive best-in-class service. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, sound judgment, and the confidence to handle complex tasks with care and creativity.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales Administration

  • Prepare and manage new line forms, deal proposals, price submissions, and invoice auditing

  • Review invoice pricing for accuracy and consistency

  • Work closely with wholesalers to support product ranging, pricing, and promotional mailers

  • Develop planograms using vendor-specific software for category reviews and store-specific layouts

  • Ensure all tasks are delivered accurately and on time

Customer & Event Support

  • Coordinate and support customer events and head office activations, including trade expos and product sampling

  • Contribute to delivering a polished, professional customer experience

Field Team Communication

  • Brief the field team on upcoming activities and initiatives

  • Track, report, and communicate results clearly and accurately

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain and update Dunnhumby files to support store-level category tracking

  • Provide timely, accurate data to assist both field execution and head office strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 1+ years’ experience in a similar role

  • Sales support experience within FMCG, ideally in Health & Beauty products

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Confidence using professional judgment to solve problems and improve processes

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Customer Service & Administration Coordinator

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Customer Service & Administration Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team.

This is a varied role combining order management, customer service, and office administration. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, queries are resolved efficiently, and day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Customer Service

  • Process and validate customer orders in SAP accurately and on time
  • Manage customer queries including pricing, stock, delivery issues, and short supply
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with customers and internal teams
  • Process credits and returns, maintaining accurate claim records

Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work closely with the Senior CSA, Supply Team, and Key Account Managers
  • Liaise with 3PL warehousing and transport partners to support order fulfilment

Administration & Office Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team
  • Manage office supplies, stationery, and facilities coordination
  • Oversee staff shop operations (stock, replenishment, reporting)
  • Coordinate travel bookings (flights and accommodation)

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in customer service, administration, or order processing
  • Strong systems skills (SAP experience preferred but not essential)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. look-ups, filters, pivots)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • Experience working with 3PL providers or logistics partners
  • FMCG or supply chain experience
  • Office or facilities administration experience

ASM – Area Sales Manager Part Time Contract

Role purpose

To implement the sales strategy in the allocated area for all the customers in that area. The main purpose is to achieve sales targets and revenue margins by ensuring that the right products are in the right place at the right time.

The execution of the sales plans for allocated customers shall be in compliance with Diplomat policies, practices and procedures.

Role Scope

Main Challenges

Through a 100% coverage of calls, superior product and industry knowledge, ensure stores are compliant with the Main Stock List (MSL) in line with targeted projections. Achieve a positive return on investment (ROI) on all activations and promotions, including reporting 100% accurately. Engage the customer to meet GIV and CFR targets - on all brand and category initiatives. Maximize merchandising resource to achieve zero out of stocks (OOS) on shelf.

Financial

  • Execute the sales plan for allocated customers

  • Ensure achievement of monthly targets, objectives and display targets

  • Conduct analysis of customer and sales metrics, costs and categories to inform business decisions

  • Conduct negotiations with the customers for display and shelf space

  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the team to keep track of progress on allocated targets

    Customer perspective

  • Develop and demonstrate knowledge of products

  • Build and maintain relationships with Customers

  • Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customers' business

  • Address and resolve sales related customer complaints as well as issues escalated by merchandisers to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Support and guide the merchandisers in customer relationship management

  • Validate customer stores on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the criteria listed on the Perfect Store scoreboard

Senior Key Account Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join Diplomat New Zealand Limited' in our Takapuna, Auckland office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing and growing our strategic partnership with one of our key customers, Woolworths.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and execute a tailored account strategy to drive growth and deepen our partnership with Woolworths

  2. Serve as the main point of contact for Woolworths, working closely with their procurement and operations teams to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service

  3. Identify new business opportunities within Woolworths and collaborate with internal teams to put together winning proposals

  4. Manage and grow our existing portfolio of Woolworths business, ensuring we meet or exceed agreed key performance indicators

  5. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on the Woolworths account

  6. Support the development and implementation of category management plans for Woolworths

  7. Foster strong relationships across the Woolworths business to position Diplomat as a trusted and strategic partner

What we're looking for

  1. 8+ years of experience in a senior account management or key account management role, preferably in the FMCG or retail industry

  2. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large, strategic customer accounts

  3. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation

  4. Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision making capabilities

  5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  6. Collaborative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset

  7. Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business, marketing, commerce)
