About
Smart Solutions in a Challenging Market
Diplomat entered the large South African market in 2010. As part of the worldwide Diplomat Group, our aim is to drive value and provide customers with full-service FMCG supply chain solutions to become their preferred choice.
Expanding rapidly, Diplomat has established partnerships with P&G, Mondelez, JDE and Red Bull. Our nationwide market coverage includes 33,000 distribution points in tier II and the informal market. Using our efficient one-stop-shop and cash-to-cash models, customers can reduce risk while driving growth.
We have four distribution centers across South Africa designed to provide full coverage for market needs: In Johannesburg, we have an advanced logistics center with an area of 10,000 sq.m., and another center was inaugurated in Cape Town with an area of 9,000 sq.m. Our other distribution centers are located in Durban and Port Elizabeth, with a total storage capacity of 19,000 pallets. Diplomat currently employs over 800 workers.
Our approach to doing business is adapted to South African market structure and needs, by leveraging the Group’s know-how, best-in-class processes and proven systems, based on our 50-year heritage of excellence.
Our customer-centric approach includes flexible business models, strong sales competence and innovative technologies. We provide joint business planning, breakthrough supply chain solutions and a diverse portfolio in department stores, baby chains, pharmacies (including OTC, with MCC compliance), wholesalers, kiosks and convenience store channels.
Focused on continuous growth, Diplomat continues to meet the challenges of the South African market while expanding our brand portfolio through strategic partnerships with leading multinational and local brands.
In South Africa, we combat social imbalances through social programs that help advance the society in which we operate. We work in areas where we have a longstanding commitment – children, education and reducing poverty in our communities.
