Diplomat South Africa is recruiting for the role of Sales Representative (Direct Mini Market) to be based in North West (Vryburg) and servicing (Kimberly, Wolmaranstad & Klerksdorp). The position will report to the Sales Supervisor (Direct Mini Market).

Key Responsibilities:
- The ability to influence and sell predetermined sales solutions to targeted customers.
- Execute the sales plan for allocated customers, particularly bigger retail outlets and mini-markets.
- Ensure achievement of monthly targets, objectives and display targets.
- Excellent execution of business strategic drivers.
- Conduct negotiations with the customers for display and shelf space
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the team to keep track of progress on allocated targets.
- Build and maintain customer relationships and ensure service levels are excellent.
- Ensure the correct standard of merchandising is executed correctly in all stores via Block merchandising/Cross merchandising/Format merchandising/Vertical merchandising etc.
- Ensure the recommended pricing is in line with strategy and the relevant price labels are on shelf.
- Correct Stock rotation - FIFO Principals - (First In First Out).
- Correct category Planogram application in all stores.
- Sales out focus by driving visibility through building of gondola ends, side stacks, power wings, display units, dump bins etc.
- Maintaining adequate stock levels - the correct stock pressure levels on shelf and for displays to ensure no out of stocks in store occurs.
- Facilitating orders for predefined customers.
- Category maintenance.
- Securing and maintaining contestable space or fair share of shelf.
- Manage damages and returns.
- Stock counts.
- Provide on-going market intelligence to management as predetermined by the business needs from time to time assist in:
- Ad Hoc Promotional Events
- Representative territory coverage
- Take responsibility for company resources and ensure effective utilisation to maximise and enable outputs.
- Take responsibility for self-development through self-study, identification of learning opportunities.
- Completed Matric or equivalent, accredited by SAQA.
- Diploma or Degree in Business Commerce or Marketing.
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a Sales Representative role.
- 3 - 5 years' experience in the Sales & Merchandising environment.
- Experience dealing with Independent Retail and Wholesale Accounts within FMCG environment.
- Highly motivated and responsible, with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own vehicle will be preferable.
- Must reside in North West (Vryburg).

Data Analyst - Modern Trade - Field Sales Department - Gauteng
Diplomat South Africa is recruiting for the role of Data Analyst to be based in Gauteng (Meadowdale). The position will report to the Modern Trade Field Sales Manager.
Provide actionable insights and analytical support to Sales, Modern Trade, and Operations by collecting, validating, analyzing, and visualizing data to improve decision-making, optimize processes, and drive business performance. The role ensures accurate reporting, monitors KPIs, identifies trends and risks, and recommends data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and profitability across SPAR and other modern trade channels.

Position Requirement:

The role ensures accurate reporting, monitors KPIs, identifies trends and risks, and recommends data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and profitability across SPAR and other modern trade channels.
Key accountabilities:
Financial Perspective
- Ensure accuracy of financial data in reports and dashboards
- KPI: ≥ 99% data accuracy across all financial metrics (weekly validation).
Customer Perspective
- Provide actionable insights to improve customer service and sales performance
- KPI: ≥ 80% adoption of recommended actions by Sales/KAM teams (monthly review).
- Deliver timely reports to support customer negotiations and promotions
- KPI: ≥ 95% on-time delivery of scheduled reports (weekly/monthly)
Internal Processes
- Develop and maintain dashboards for sales, inventory, and compliance
- KPI: Dashboards updated within SLA (≤ 24 hours after data refresh).
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as sales vs target, on-shelf availability, and compliance
- KPI: Weekly compliance reporting for 100% of allocated stores.
- Ensure data integrity and governance across systems (SAP, Smart Sell, BI tools)
- KPI: ≥ 95% of data anomalies resolved within SLA (weekly).
- Support forecasting and demand planning accuracy
- KPI: Forecast error (MAPE) ≤ 15% at channel level; ≤ 10% at DC level (monthly)
Learning and Growth
- Stay current with analytics tools and FMCG trends
- KPI: Completion of at least 2 advanced analytics or FMCG-related training modules per year.
Position Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in data analysis or business analytics within FMCG.
- Advanced Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques.
- Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS.
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
